Currently the PVC faceplates will be replaced by magnetic foil. therefore the term "(mag)" in the edition's drodown menu.
The kit contains everything you need to build a complete Synth Controller in the edition of your choice.
The Faceplate is included, no need to order it separately.
The DIY Kit comes without a power supply.
Technically the DIY version is identical to the built Controller - for details, downloads, FAQ and demos please check the article page of the built Synth Controller.
